A definition in Article 2 of Regulation EU547/2012 of the term ‘water pump’ is the hydraulic part of a device that moves clean water by physical or mechanical action and is of one of the following designs:
|Pump Description||Related Series|
|End suction own bearing (ESOB)||SNT, Eco SNT|
|End suction close coupled (ESCC)||SNM, Eco SNM|
|End suction close coupled inline (ESCCi)||SNL,Eco SNL|
|Vertical multistage (MS-V)||CDLF|
Consequently this would mean any pump of such a design would be in the scope. For more information you can see the details in Article 2.
EU 622/2012 regulations established ecodesign requirements for the placing on the market of glandless standalone circulators and glandless circulators integrated in products. Article 2, defines “circulator” as an impeller pump, with or without pump housing, which has the rated hydraulic output power of between 1 W and 2500 W and is designed for use in heating systems or in secondary circuits of cooling distribution systems.
